What we Believe

The Bible.

We believe that the Bible is the sole authoritative infallible inspired word of God, inerrant in its original manuscripts and fully sufficient in itself to guide men in living a full life. Sole authoritative in that all other sources are subject to the author of scripture and any word that contradicts God’s word is to be discarded.

Our Mission

God’s plan for every Christian is that they know the joy of fellowship; fellowship with God and fellowship with His children.  As the college and career group of Indian Hills Community Church, we exist to glorify God through the growth of believers, the evangelizing of the lost, and the exalting of the Savior Jesus Christ, in deed and truth.

Loving God and Loving People

Matthew 22:34 "But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." "This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Loving God is of utmost importance and because of His love for us, we love others.

Being 'doers' of the Word

James 1:22 "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves."       We desire to learn from the Bible so that we can live it out in our daily lives.

Growing in Grace and Knowledge

II Peter 3:18 "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

How do we accomplish these things?

We gather together to worship through studying God’s word, singing His praises, and serving one another.

Through our times of fellowship we gain a better understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ; learning how to study the Bible for ourselves, defend our faith, and share what we have learned with others.

Through our times of fellowship we learn how to study the Bible on our own, and how to apply what we learn to our lives so that we are better equipped to serve each other.

We meet every week corporately to encourage one another in our love for the Lord and to spur one another to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

We proclaim the good news of Jesus so that others can know the joy of fellowship with the Father.

Maturity is measured by Christ-likeness.

Maturity is measured by doctrinal stability.

Maturity is measured by responsibility.

God has a plan for your spiritual growth.

Philippians 1:6   For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

God has a plan for how He intends to accomplish this, and it involves your work

Philippians 2:12-13   So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
